I was doing some calculations on how much I spent for Valentine's day this year. I think I did really good this year! Made the most out of the dollars...and had a blast! No regrets and worth every penny.
But isn't it always worth every penny? Until you break up, or move on, or get dumped? You see my tongue n' cheek point.
This thought led me to this question: What if you were refunded every dollar you ever spent on romantic endeavors which didn't lead to marriage? What would that figure be? I'm talking special events, birthdays, Valentine's, Christmas, gifts, cards, flowers, every meal, every gallon of gas....every dollar. Refunded.
And you thought your IRS tax refund was gonna be good this year! Just a funny thought.

I'm new to this site, but not blogs. Gonna try to figure this out.
I'm enamored with John Mayer's new song, "Say". I'm becoming more aware how important communication is in keeping relationships alive and well. Communication, openness, truth, accountability. If you can at least keep the lines open, relationship can always exist. When families stop talking, relationship will end. When couples stop sharing how they feel, they will run into road blocks. Relationship is the only eternal thing on this earth. We will carry it into eternity. Nothing else.
So whatever you do today, say what you need to say. And to who you need to say it to. Do it with love and honesty...knowing that you, too, need grace, mercy, and love. But whatever it is, if the lines aren't open, it won't be relationship for long.
